Girly fashion let's blog about it

Girly fashion tips and girly outfit ideas
I always try to take a minimalist approach to my wardrobe, constantly curating it and investing in only the pieces I really love, keeping everything clean, fresh and tidy, that is the dream! In a house of boys it can feel like the one area I have control over haha. Keeping less clothing and curating fewer pieces means I can dedicate more time to wearing, loving and appreciating each one, plus it helps me practise self control and is kinder to the planet! Because I only invest in a few pieces I love to fill the select spaces in my wardrobe with my favourite brands, however in the real world there is no way I can afford to spend £50-100 on a dress. I thought I would share with you my tips, exactly how I go about finding high cost items for much less, plus some absolutely adorable sales picks to go and grab now!

1. I subscribe to Love the Sales, I think I've mentioned this before on my blog but this is probably my favourite option because it delivers my favourite things to my inbox for me and I don't have to do anything else. I've been subscribed for quite a while now and I really like it. It caters for a lot of brands and shops... Disney, Missguided, GHD, Skinnydip, Nasty Gal, ASOS, you name it! I often use it to find fashion picks for my blog wishlists. It's kind of like the fashion version of Creative Market - it sends me pieces perfectly tailored to me, for example, if you are looking for Ted Baker...

2. I keep an eye on ebay because you can do so well on there! You can find a lot of brand new items, complete with tags, as well as pieces that have only been tried on, or worn once or twice, just like most items are in department stores. My last buy was a gorgeous peter pan collar plaid dress for £4, including postage! Plus, coveted and sold out items can regularly pop up on there. Tools like 'watch list' are handy but you will have to do your searching manually. I search for terms like 'peter pan collar' and a whole host of auctions come up, you can get pieces at a steal! My only qualm is that mock ups of brands are rife on ebay, there are so many faux items on there but it is no problem if you are buying solely for aesthetic value. *Tip! To ensure an item is genuine ask the seller if there is a receipt of the item or invoice available to see, or a copy you can have

3. Tk Maxx can be really useful to save a huge amount on designer or high end items, just like ebay you will have to dig for a while and there is a limited selection of brands available but when you do find a brand you really love it's amazing! I like it best for homeware and their seasonal decor section is always amazing, especially for occasions like Easter white rabbits galore and Halloween. It can be a great place to pick up American brands like Too Faced or Modcloth without having to pay the duties and the huge shipping costs. You have to be super dedicated to find them though!

4. On the high street... go early in the morning to have a browse through the freshly stocked shelves, in charity shops or second hand shops or market stalls, or even Primark! I love to go to Primark for essentials as they are high quality yet very affordable. I love, love their tights, they have never let me down and I buy underwear and vests there too, all of lovely quality. So many of my outfits are made from basic items such as this, under garments because I love to wear sheer clothing. They also do a lot of reduced item racks, items for just £1-£3. Second hand shopping, just browsing in charity shops is so much fun too, you can make a whole day of it and all money goes to a good cause!
